Mr Puar is one of the friendliest shop owners we have met so far. Every visit lasts far longer than anticipated as we are plied with delicious sweets from Pink City a few doors down and tea.
His business is a slightly unusual mix of travel agents and clothing. The shop currently looks a bit tired and makes the classic mistake of listing all that is sells on the shop front making it feel a little cluttered.
BEFORE:
But What If:
The sign is an illuminated thin profile aluminium tray. The logo simple, elegant and brightly coloured (like many of the clothes). The underline turns to stitching under the word fashion and the trail of the aeroplane under travel. The awning simple and clean as are thr window graphics. To celebrate over 30 years trading in Hayes we intend to sign-write the top of the building. The roller shutter below gets signwritten also.
This is a visual of the other concept which didn’t go through.
Much prefer the version in the dark blue. These new shop fronts will definitely give a lift to the High St. I hope that the owners will be so proud of there new image that they will give the pavement infront of their shop the occasional sweep and tidy. If each of the shops did this the street would be a lot tidier… but I’m digressing 🙂
